Today Dr. Bolger explained further the formation of the Lutheran Church as it pertained to Christian Community, Christian Mission, and Christian Leadership. The section on Christian Leadership sparked some good discussion in class amongst the students and Dr. Bolger. This subject has many implications into my own church experiences and I was glad that I attended class today to hear the banter. The concept of the secular and sacred divide in churches today was what I needed to hear after pondering these issues for so long.
